Hi! I’m Jacky, and I love to DANCE! I love teaching dance fitness because I can share my passion with others and help them build confidence to learn how to express themselves in their own way. My goal for classes is that my students will learn the true skill of dance and in the process become more fit, more flexible, more agile, more graceful, and more confident. I bring my wealth of dance experience to all of my classes.

I started dancing when I was 3-years-old and haven’t stopped moving since! Dance is such an important part of who I am. I have done a little bit of everything dance related: tap, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, ballroom, latin, musical theatre, etc. I continue to train in dance classes and have performed in multiple venues in New York, Kansas City, and Providence. I am grateful for all of my dance training and experience, because it has made me a well-rounded dancer and a better teacher.

In 2017, I decided to become a certified LaBlast Dance Fitness instructor so that way I could share my love of dance with more people. I love LaBlast because you get the joy of the ballroom and latin dance steps, without worrying about whether or not you have a good partner. It really is a blast! I’m so glad my former ballroom partner mentioned LaBlast to me; it truly is a joy to teach! I am grateful for the continued inspiration from LaBlast founder, Louis van Amstel, as well as all of the instructors nationwide!

In 2021, I added Balletone by BARRE ABOVE certification. I am excited to start teaching this format that blends ballet and Fitness. It is a great way to feel graceful, strong, and elegant! This class builds your muscles that are so important for functioning in everyday life. I am thankful for support from Program Director, Elizabeth Lenart!

I would like to thank my mentor Bobby Ray for pushing me to move from standing in the back corner of the dance room to confidently leading and teaching dance classes!

Thank you to everyone who has danced with me! See you on the dance floor!
